Canadian Experience Class (CEC)
The Canadian Experience Class is a new avenue of immigration for certain temporary foreign workers and foreign student graduates with professional, managerial and skilled work experience.

Note: Within one year of leaving your job or completing your study in Canada, you are still eligible to apply.
CEC for graduate students
You must provide the following documents and satisfy an immigration officer that you will leave Canada when you have completed your studies.You will need:
- Graduation from an eligible full-time Canadian post-secondary educational program of at least two years,
- At least one year of full time Skilled Work Experience in Canada,
- Both work and study acquired using proper study or work permits or authorizations,
- Knowledge of communicating in English or French.
Note: Students after graduation may apply for a post-graduation work permit to gain Canadian experience.
CEC for Temporary Skilled Workers
You must provide the following documents and satisfy an immigration officer that you will leave Canada when you have completed your studies.You will need:
- At least two years of eligible work experience in Canada ,
- The experience must be obtained within the three years preceding the date the application,
- Experience should be acquired with the proper permits ,
- The work experience should be obtained in one of the following categories of Canada’s National Occupational Classification (NOC); a) skill type 0, managerial occupations, b) skill level A, professional, and c) skill level B technical/skilled trades,
- Knowledge of communicating in English or French.
